Between 3:55AM PDT and 4:08AM PDT, Amazon Virtual Private Cloud had an issue with one of our redundant VPN Gateway devices in the Northern Virginia (US-EAST-1) region. Each VPN Connection is provisioned as a pair of redundant VPN tunnels to provide customers with the ability to setup two separate VPN tunnels to redundant VPN devices. A small number of customers may have seen one of the two redundant tunnels as unavailable during this time. The service is now operating normally.

We are currently investigating an issue with one of our redundant VPN Gateway devices in the Northern Virginia region. Each VPN Connection is provisioned as a pair of redundant VPN tunnels to provide customers with the ability to configure a VPN tunnel to two VPN gateways endpoints. The redundant VPN Gateway is not affected, and VPN connections with both tunnels configured are operating normally.
