Network Issues in DFW1

Update: As of 10:00 AM CDT – The transient networking issues are still ongoing and we’re investigating further as to the source of this trouble. Cloud Control Panel | UK | Priority Maintenance | Tuesday May 1st, 2012 at 10:00 PM – 2:00 AM BST

Rackspace Cloud system engineers will be performing a priority maintenance to our UK Cloud Control Panel on Tuesday May 1st, 2012 at 10:00  PM – 2:00 AM BST.  While we do not expect any impact, there is a small possibility of errors and delays when using the Cloud Control Panel and API for UK customers during the first hour of this maintenance. All Cloud Server instances will remain on line and be accessible.

Cloud Sites | DFW 1-1 PHP Session Storage | Online

At around 11:55PM CDT, our Cloud Sites Engineering team was notified of reports of intermittent latency on several PHP clusters in our DFW datacenter. Our engineers are currently actively engaged in troubleshooting the issue. Customers with PHP websites utlizing these clusters may experience intermittent latency and possible timeouts until the issue is resolved.

UPDATE: At about 12:40AM CDT, our Cloud Sites Engineering team identified an issue with a session storage device. Once this device was reset the latency and timeouts on the affected PHP clusters in our DFW 1-1 datacenter are now serving pages. Customers with websites utilizing these clusters should no longer be experiencing latency caused by this issue.

Cloud Sites | Control Panel Features | Online

At approximately 11:10 AM CT, Rackspace Cloud Engineers identified an issue with our Control Panel. We are currently experiencing intermittent accessibility and some functionality may be degraded. Our Engineers are diligently working on the issue.

Update: As of about 11:30 AM CT, Rackspace Cloud Engineers have restored full functionality to the Control Panel. Thank you for your patience. 

Update: As of about 3:15 PM CT, our Engineers identified an issue with our Control Panel. We are currently experiencing intermittent accessibility, errors, and other functionality may be degraded. Our Engineers are diligently working on the issue.

Update: At about 3:40 PM CT, the Cloud Engineers have restored full functionality to the Control Panel.

At around 10:00AM CDT, our Cloud Sites Engineering team was notified of reports of intermittent latency on our PHP5-17 cluster in our DFW datacenter. Our engineers are currently actively engaged in troubleshooting the issue. Customers with PHP websites utlizing this cluster may experience intermittent latency and possible timeouts until the issue is resolved.

UPDATE: At about 10:30AM CDT, our Cloud Sites Engineering team was able to mitigate the latency and timeouts on our PHP5-17 cluster in our DFW datacenter. Customers with websites utilizing this cluster should no longer be experiencing latency caused by this issue.

Cloud Servers | LON | Linux Build Failures | Wednesday April 25th 08:25 UTC | [RESOLVED]

At approximately 08:25 UTC April 25th, Rackspace Cloud Engineers identified an issue with Linux Server Builds in our LON3 Data Center in the UK. Our Engineers are diligently working on the issue and we will update this status post when we have more information.

UPDATE: As of 10:05 UTC the issues with building Linux based servers has been resolved. We greatly apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Cloud Servers | LON | Scheduled Maintenance | Friday May 4th @ 10:00 PM to Sunday May 6th @ 6:00 AM BST

Rackspace is working to ensure that the space and power within our Data Centers is used effectively in order to continue to offer our customers opportunity for growth.  To meet the optimization requirement we will be installing a new module into the two Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) circuits that facilitate one of the Data Halls within our LON3 Data Centre. During this time, the UPS will be bypassed and your devices will be fed using generator mains. While we do not anticipate any service interruption during the maintenance, we are aware of the possibility of an unforeseen issue arising and want to provide you an advanced notice of the planned maintenance.

This maintenance is scheduled to start on Friday May 4th at 10:00 PM BST and end on Sunday May the 6th at 6:00 AM BST.

Cloud Sites | mysql50-95.wc1.ord1 | online

As of about 5:47 AM, the Rackspace Cloud engineers identified an issue on MySQL 50-95 in our ORD1 data center. At this time, database communication is limited to read-only. Our engineers are diligently working on resolving the issue.

Update: At 6:30 AM our engineers have resolved an issue with database communications and currently sites connected to mysql50-95.wc1.ord1 are back to normal.
