CloudFiles Routine Maintenance 3/3/10 8PM CST [COMPLETED]

CloudFiles will be performing a routine maintenance on March 3rd 2010 at 8pm CST. During this maintenance window some JungleDisk customers will be read only, and the maintenance is should conclude around 9PM CST. Thank you for your understanding.

[UPDATE 8:00 PM CST] CloudFiles maintenance is currently underway, we will update this post once the maintenance has been completed.

[UPDATE 8:27 PM CST] Maintenance has completed successfully and all Jungle Disk customers are currently read write. Thank you for you patience.

CloudFiles Emergency Maintenance [RESOLVED]

[14:42 UTC] CloudFiles is currently performing emergency maintenance. During this period some JungleDisk customers will be in read only mode while the problem is investigated and corrected. We apologize for any inconvenience, and we will have an update for you soon.

[15:43 UTC] The issue has been discovered and we are currently working on correcting the issue. The maintenance should take approximately 4 hours and will conclude are 19:43 UTC. We will keep you up to date on our progress.

[17:51 UTC] The emergency maintenance has concluded, and all JungleDisk customers are currently read/write once more. Thank you for your patience.

CDN Functionality in Dallas Ft Worth Area — Online

Our Engineers are currently working with our CDN provider to resolve an Issue with one node in the Dallas Ft Worth Area. This might cause random interruptions for some users in this geographical area. The nodes IP address is 68.142.122.70. This issue should be Resolved soon. Thanks for your patience and support.

Update as of 8:00 PM CST — All connectivity to the Dallas Ft. Worth and Surrounding areas should be responding as expected. We apologize for any troubles this might have caused.

Preventative Cloud Files Maintenance [COMPLETED]

Cloud Files will be performing a preventative routine maintenance 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM CDT. The system will remain available and should not effect any customer activity.

[12:30 PM CST] Our Cloud Files systems engineers have completed the preventative maintenance with no customer impact.

Cloud Files Jungle Disk Read Only [COMPLETED]

[10:30 PM CST] Cloud Files is currently experiencing intermittent issues. In order to further investigate and prevent any further issues, the system will be put into Read Only state. During this time, data will still be accessible, however updates and new file insert attempts will fail for some Jungle Disk customers.

[11:20 PM CST] Due to complications in our system we are undergoing emergency maintenance. During this maintenance, while data will still be accessible, some Jungle Disk customers will continue to be in Read Only state. Maintenance should last approximately four hours and will conclude around 3:30 am CST.

[1:10 AM CST] Our Rackspace Cloud system engineers were able to complete the emergency maintenance ahead of schedule. Emergency maintenance has concluded successfully, and all Jungle Disk customers are now in Read/Write mode. We thank you for your patience.

Routine CloudFiles Maintenance [COMPLETED]

CloudFiles will be performing routine maintenance this evening at 8:00 pm – 9:00 pm CDT. The system will remain available, however some customers may experience very brief connection lapses during this maintenance window. We will post a notification once maintenance is underway.

[UPDATE 8:55 PM CDT] Maintenance has now been completed successfully.

Cloud Files Control Panel Issues [Resolved]

[18:45 CST] We are currently experiencing issues with the Rackspace Cloud control panel. Our engineers our currently working on the issue and we will update you as soon as we can provide more information.

[20:06 CST] We believe we’ve discovered the root cause of the issue. This issue should be resolved shortly.

[20:50 CST] This issue has been resolved and you should experience no further issues. Should you continue to experience issues please do not hesitate to contact support so that we may assist you further.

Read Only Jungle Disk Maintenance [COMPLETED]

At 2 pm CST the CloudFiles team is performing a read only maintenance to correct an issue within our system. Only a portion of our Jungle Disk customers will be affected. The maintenance should last approximately 30 minutes. Thank you for your patience, and we will update you when maintenance has begun.

Maintenance is now underway we will update you when maintenance has been completed.

Maintenance is currently proceeding longer than expected. We will keep you posted on the status of this issue.

Control Panel & API Access – Online

The Rackspace Cloud control panel is currently inaccessible and Cloud Files / Cloud Servers API access may be limited. Our development team is aware of the issue and they are working to quickly restore service.

UPDATE: As of 9:00 PM CST, The Rackspace Cloud development team is still in the process of correcting the issue with our control panel. As previously mentioned, Cloud Files and Cloud Servers API access is also affected.

UPDATE: As of 9:35 PM CST, we have corrected the issue affecting control panel and API access. Users should now be able to log in to the Rackspace Cloud control panel as well as connect via the Cloud Files or Cloud Servers APIs. CDN issues for users located in Italy [Resolved]

Currently our CDN provider LimeLight is experiencing issues with one of there peer providers located in Italy. We are working with LimeLight to resolve this issue and should have this cleared up soon.
