Cloud Control Panel | US | Online

At approximately 10:20PM Central time we became aware of an issue in the Cloud control panel which may result in an error message when customers try to list devices on an account. We are currently investigating and will have more information as soon as possible. Our Engineers are diligently working to resolve this issue.

UPDATE: as of 10:47pm Central the issue has been resolved. The issue was related to a maintenance that was not expected to result in interruption. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Cloud Servers | DFW1, LON | Datacenter Maintenance

The Rackspace Cloud system engineers will perform a series of updates to our Cloud Servers infrastructure starting Wednesday May 31st. Datacenter dates and times are listed below:
 
DFW1
-       Thursday May 31st, 2012: 0500 – 0900 UTC (12:00AM – 4:00AM CDT)
 
LON
-       Friday June 8th, 2012: 0100 – 0500 UTC (2:00AM – 7:00AM BST)

During this maintenance, Cloud Servers located in these data centers may experience brief network degradation which could potentially last up to 60 seconds.

Public and private networking applications may be impacted. This will include publicly routable services such as internet based applications, as well as privately routable services like load balancing and server to server communications.

Cloud Sites and Cloud Files will remain online and available.

Cloud Sites | CP Emergency Maintenance | DFW, ORD | Thursday, May 17th, 2012 at 10:00 PM to 1:00 AM CST

The Rackspace Cloud system engineers will perform an Emergency Maintenance to our Cloud Sites environment on Thursday, May 17th, 2012 at 10:00 PM CT. This will impact our Sites Control Panel. During the first 30 minutes of this maintenance, Cloud Sites customers will be unable to perform the following actions:

  – Sign up for a ‘New’ Cloud Sites account
  – Add ‘New’ users to their existing Cloud Sites account
  – Add ‘End Users’ to their existing Cloud Sites account

Customers may also experience delays or errors when performing any provisioning action during the maintenance window. Please note that your Cloud Sites services will remain online and available and your websites will be uninterrupted. This will only affect some Control Panel functionality.

We are confident the maintenance will be complete on or before Friday, May 18th, at 1:00AM CST. If everything goes as planned, the maintenance could be completed in less time.

Cloud Sites | wc2.dfw1 | MSSQL Maintenance | 2012 May 15| Completed

The Rackspace Cloud system engineers will be performing software upgrades on our MSSQL Clusters,

MSSQL0805 and MSSQL0806

This maintenance will occur on Tuesday, 2012 May 15, between 10 PM CDT and 11 PM CDT.

Due to the nature of these software upgrades we will be required to take the databases offline for a period of up to 1 hour.

We will work to complete this maintenance as quickly as possible within the maintenance window and will update you via our status page at http://status.rackspacecloud.com.

At approximately 12:30 PM CT, Rackspace Cloud engineers have identified an issue with PHP clusters in DFW wc2. Customer websites that reside on these particular clusters may experience intermittent timeouts, connection unavailable errors, and/or longer load times. Our engineers continue working towards a resolution.

UPDATE: As of 12:40PM, the issue with PHP clusters in DFW wc2 has been resolved. Customer websites that reside on these particular clusters should be resolving normally.

UK Cloud Services | LON | Priority Maintenance | Control Panel and API | Thursday, May 24th, 2012 from 12:00AM BST- 1:00AM BST

The Rackspace Cloud system engineers will be performing updates to our Cloud Products infrastructure on Thursday, May 24th, 2012 from 12:00AM BST- 1:00AM BST. During the maintenance, UK Customers will have no access to the Rackspace Cloud Control Panel and API. This includes the management of the following services:

  – Cloud Servers
  – Cloud Files
  – Cloud Load Balancers
  – Cloud DNS

Internal systems may also be impacted which will limit our ability to provide technical support during the maintenance window.

The Cloud services themselves, will remain online and available. This maintenance will only impact the management of services.

We are confident the maintenance will be complete on Thursday, May 24th, at 1:00AM BST. If everything goes as planned, the maintenance could be completed in significantly less time.

Our engineers continue working towards a resolution.

UPDATE: As of 1:53PM, the issue with PHP clusters in DFW wc2 has been resolved. Customer websites that reside on these particular clusters should be resolving normally.

As of about 8:40AM CT,  the Rackspace Cloud engineers identified an issue on MySQL 50-75 in our DFW1 data center. At this time, database communication is limited to read-only. Our engineers are diligently working on resolving the issue.

Update: As of about 8:50AM CT, Rackspace Cloud Engineers have restored full functionality, thank you for your patience.

Cloud Sites | Email Services | Online

At approximately 11:15 PM CST, Rackspace Cloud Engineers identified webmail connectivity issues affecting webmail. During this time, some customers may experience page timeouts while logging in. Mail delivery is not affected.

Update: As of about 11:24 PM CT, Rackspace Cloud Engineers have reported that the login timeouts have been resolved.
